Henry Mackenzie (bishop)

The Rt Rev Henry Mackenzie (b 16 May 1808 - d 15 October 1878) was Bishop Suffragan of Nottingham from 1870 until 1877.[1] Educated at Pembroke College, Oxford [2] he had previously beenChaplain to the Bishop of Lincoln,[3] Vicar of St Martin-in-the-Fields and Archdeacon of Nottingham [4] before his elevation to the Episcopate.[5] He was consecrated on 2 February 1870 [6] and died the year following his resignation and buried at South Collingham.[7]
